About Us
Tana Netting has a long history of working with public sector agencies, including ministries of health, UN agencies and NGOs to produce and deliver high quality products that protect against mosquito-borne diseases. DAWA®PLUS was conceived in 2003 when the company started to develop an end-of-the-line treatment process for long-lasting insecticidal mosquito nets (LNs) in a public-private partnership with USAID and Bayer. Tana Netting was incorporated in 2004 to facilitate the production of the anticipated DAWA®PLUS LNs, and in 2005, production of DAWA®PLUS began at Tana Netting’s state-of-the-art facility in Thailand. By 2009, Tana Netting received the World Health Organization Pesticide Evaluation Scheme (WHOPES) phase II recommendation.
Since production began, DAWA®PLUS has helped millions of people in at least 25 countries on five continents get a good night's sleep free from malaria. Key customers have included malaria control projects run by ministries of health, NGOs, USAID and UN agencies, as well as military forces.
In 2011, DAWA®PLUS underwent a transformation to modernize its logo.
